Purchasing Analyst

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Supports daily operations of the department, Vendor Management & Contracts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain vendor database for the department
  • Eatec Procurement system data entry and reconciliation of negotiated pricing
  • Generate reports on category spend for areas such as Maintenance, Contingent Labor, Construction, Dining and Hospitality and Operational Services
  • Manage and maintain  Vendor Management & Contracts certifications of insurance database
  • Blanket purchase order tracking
  • Assist as directed with general purchasing function & other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • BS and/or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, strong command of the English language, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency; MS Office Suite required, Oracle experience desirable
  • Data entry experience
  • Must be able to understand and apply policies, procedures and protocols of the company
  • Familiarity with purchasing/inventory control procedures and/or the company’s financial systems highly desired
  • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail in a high pressure environment
