Jr Recruiter

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

An established manufacturing company is looking for a dynamic Jr Recruiter. The Jr Recruiter will deliver full cycle recruiting success to ensure the hiring of best possible talent they will also assist the HR Supervisor in day-to-day activities related to human resources.
• Keep all matters related to HR activities CONFIDENTIAL
• Perform full cycle recruitment functions to efficiently and effectively fill open positions
• Create and post job advertisements for current openings to appropriate internet sources, newspaper ads, etc
• Assist hiring managers in creating job descriptions and make recommendation for hires
• Thoroughly complete reference check for potential employees
• Prepare applicants’ packet (i.e. application, resume, approved req., references, etc.) for HR Supervisor’s review
• Meet with VP of Operations to discuss potential candidate and get approval for offer
• Extend formal offers of employment and prepare appropriate paperwork for orientation
• Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidates
• Manage/update current job opening on company website
• Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads
• Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting. Coordinate college recruiting initiatives and attend career fairs
• Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data, keep regular contact with possible future candidates and develop/maintain a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need
• Develop new and creative sourcing / recruiting strategies


• Associates Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-3 years full-cycle recruitment experience and ability to recommend hires for the company
• Experience in administering human resource policies and procedures for a mid-size company with current understanding of employment laws
• Experience in high volume requisitions and recruiting for high level, technical, sales and manufacturing positions
• Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
• Strong Microsoft Office applications experience, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have creativity and knowledge to develop non-traditional recruiting strategies (e.g., referrals, networking, etc)
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment
• Valid California Driver’s License
