Site Manager

Location: San Jose, CA


Overview: The Site Manager is in daily contact with the company’s most important user – our clients. The Site Manager assists in completing the sales effort, overseeing the installation of client equipment and in the retention of satisfied clients. The Site Manager is responsible for the training and development of the site personnel. Each site is viewed as a “stand alone” business unit with the Site Manager responsible for the seamless day-to-day operation of his/her facility.

Responsibilities:
• Customer equipment and circuit installation
• Show the facility to potential clients, explaining the benefits of the company’s concept and
assisting with closing the sale
• Monitor and maintain the company’s facilities, including power, HVAC, fire detection/
suppression and local security and monitoring systems
• Schedule, supervise and train of technical staff and security guards
• Customer Service in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment
• Train of personnel on telecommunications and industry test equipment
• Assist other sites in start-up, customer install set-up and troubleshooting of circuits
• Increase overall site profitability by controlling site-specific budget related items
• Augment neighboring sites during vacation periods
• Maintain site computerized circuit record databases and service order systems
• Responsibilities and duties may change, expand etc.
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt is a must
• Manage one or more site technicians
• Coach and mentor staff
• Create and manage a succession plan
• Study industry trends & adjust to industry changes
• Prepare Site for SSAE16 inspections
• Complete other duties and task on a regular or non-regular basis as requested by the Area Manager
Requirements:
• Ability to make clear timely decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Professional phone etiquette and demeanor
• Ability to work with team members to improve efficiency and implement new data center
strategies focusing on consistency, standardization and effective ROI

• Dedication and technical savvy with a successful track record of supporting corporate goals
and values, building value for the business and delivering on complex, high-profile large-scale

• 3-5 years’ experience in Facilities Management, Business Operations and
Telecommunications
• Formal education may be substituted for actual experience
• 1-2+ years’ experience in Central Office or Data Facilities preferred
• Experience supervising one or more technical staff
• Expertise with all aspects of telecom transmission facilities, infrastructure and circuit termination equipment
• Experience with LAN/WAN industry standards
• 10-15% travel
• Must be available 24/7 for escalations and or emergencies
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
