Quality Assurance Manager

Location: Tracy, CA

Overview: The QA Manager is responsible for the execution of all Quality Assurance activities as assigned.  In general it is the Quality Assurance Manager’s responsibility to ensure compliance with all relevant Regulatory Requirements and Guidelines and to ensure compliance with all Customer Expectations and Internal Quality and Food Safety Standards and Policies.  More specifically, it is the QA Manager’s responsibility to ensure that all activities under his or her control are performed in compliance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) criteria and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day activities associated with process and product improvements and insuring the integrity of materials and finished products
  • Coordination, scheduling and execution of On-Line Quality Control and incoming materials inspections
  • Supporting our Shelf-Life and other Sampling and Evaluation Programs and related activities
  • Ensuring the collection of required samples for Microbiological Evaluation and other Sample requirements
  • Management, coordination, monitoring and execution of the above, including development, updating, editing, review and management of all documents, processes and programs applicable to any of the above activities as assigned
  • Organization, maintenance, implementation of all SQF programs and policies for QA and support of SQF programs and policies for all areas of the plant

Requirements:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Excellent communication skills-written, verbal and interpersonal
  • Must be proficient with computer and appropriate software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Life Science strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing QA leadership role
