Chief Marketing Officer

Location: Sunnyvale

The Chief Marketing Officer reports directly to the corporation’s CEO and is responsible for the planning, development and execution of an organization’s marketing initiatives utilizing pricing strategies, product marketing, product management, marketing communications, advertising and public relations. The CMO ensures the corporation’s message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences with the primary objective being to meet or exceed the corporation’s revenue objectives.

Job Description
• Drive and implement all marketing activities to ensure brand positioning and awareness is powerful and consistent across all aspects of the marketing functions. This includes inbound and outbound focus, brand management, lead generation, content marketing, sales collateral development, public relations, partner & channel marketing, digital marketing, event/tradeshows and social media
• Deliver clear, consistent and powerful messaging about the brand and value proposition to each market segment with the objective to deliver the best market penetration strategies
• Define and coordinate marketing programs with Sales to ensure we meet or exceed demand creation and lead generation objectives. Implement lead tracking management processes
• Develop and manage the marketing budget including monitoring ROI analytics for each campaign or project
• Work with Sales to ensure all marketing goals, campaigns and strategies are aligned with the Sales Strategy
• Work with internal team on next generation products and road map
• Identify, sign and manage external agencies and relationships
• Develop and maintain long-­‐term relationships with industry thought-­‐leaders associations and advisors

• 8+ years of consumer marketing experience at a venture-­‐backed tech start-­‐up in a comparable industry with well-­‐rounded marketing / business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility
• Bachelors’ degree required. Master’s Degree with a specialization in Marketing preferred
• Leadership experience managing a team of direct and indirect reports. A hands-­‐on collaborative style of working is a must
• Exceptional track record developing and implementing marketing strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives
• Strong operational, project management and public-­‐speaking skills
• Exceptional written communication skills
