Recruiting and People Initiatives Analyst

Location: Redwood City, CA

Overview of position:

The Recruiting and People Initiatives Analyst’s principal function is to assist with the company’s  recruiting and hiring process, including but not limited to; writing job descriptions, building a candidate pool, attending career fairs, screening resumes, conducting interviews and corresponding with candidates.  In addition, the Analyst will support the other People-related processes and initiatives such as assisting with our mentorship and performance management process, coordinating employee training, planning company off-sites and other ongoing cultural initiatives as needed.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in shaping company culture through hiring and internal initiatives.  This individual will report to the Director of People Initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing upon company’s hiring strategy
  • Providing a smooth and professional experience for all candidates
  • Screening resumes and identifying qualified candidates
  • Organizing the interview process, including:
    • Scheduling interviews with qualified candidates
    • Conducting phone screens and other interviews as needed
    • Writing interview questions
    • Facilitating interview and hiring discussion with interviewers and hiring managers
    • Making travel arrangements for candidates when necessary
    • Managing the Applicant Tracking System
    • Conducting reference checks on candidates, as needed
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with partners at nationwide colleges and universities, staffing agencies, labor departments and recruiting agencies, as needed
    • Leading or assisting with other People initiatives including the mentorship process, training, professional development events and more
    • Other tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • BA Degree
  • Experience hiring for a variety of levels a plus
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and major job boards a plus
  • Well organized, with strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong desire to interact with others both in-person and over the phone
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to share company’s unique culture and work environment with potential candidates
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and recruiting landscape
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience with recruiting and hiring for a start-up company is a plus
