Sr Financial Analyst

Location: Santa Cruz, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Provides financial analysis supporting DOTA’s organization, including Cost Center management and control, budgeting, forecasting, and cost benefit analysis
  • Assists in the establishment of effective cost allocation methodology, and analyses of special projects, business development opportunities and investments
  • Coordinates the capital expenditures reporting, budgeting, and forecasting process ensuring compliance of internal controls, and completion of fact based forecasts
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with business partners, advising them on process improvement, assisting them in identifying efficiencies, as well as recommending them on profitability and growth opportunities
  • Communicates well with business partners, assisting them in understanding DOTA’s cost structure, driving timely financial recommendations and actionable plans
  • Prepares executive summaries, leads a series of meetings with stakeholders to communicate results, and monitors timely completion of mutually agreed action plans.
  • Has strong analytical and financial skills, including proven experience in Capital Investment evaluation

Must be able to deal with ambiguity, even in the absence of perfect information

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, and/or Accounting is recommended. Good operations, financial, and interpersonal skills. Strong Analytical and Financial Modeling experience with the ability to align resources and demonstrate value-added solutions.
  • Hyperion reporting experience required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, People facilitation and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency of Financial Evaluation, including NPV, IRR and DCF is essential
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and achieve results
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and standards
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office application systems (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, etc.)
  • Requires a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in accounting, financial analysis and planning
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
