Accounting Clerk

Location: San Jose, CA


  • Custom Client Reporting
  • Month-end Tasks (accruals, credit card reconciliation)
  • Handles client request for aging statements
  • Generates financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
  • Verifies payroll, payroll taxes or wire amounts
  • Enters transactions in QuickBooks
  • Journal Entries are completed in QuickBooks
  • Purchase Order Management (Monitoring Funs & Cycle of PO)
  • Interfaces as our liaison with our bank partners to foster seamless communication
  • Files, tracks and monitors financial processes for various accounts


  • Must have advanced experience in Excel:
  • Creating and using pivot tables
  • Can manipulate data using VLOOKUP
  • Can use excel to create custom client reports (leverages formulas etc)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (i.e. Gmail, Google Drive, Google Documents)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience in using QuickBooks


  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proven experience in corporate work setting as an Accounting Clerk
  • Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting and financial records
  • Extremely high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, projects and showcases ability to multi-task
  • Able to deal with varying personalities and work styles
  • Commitment to deadlines and willingness to work till the work is completed
  • Displays first- hand knowledge of maneuvering through spreadsheets and is able to manipulate data
  • Can solve problems through research and inspection of data
  • Works well independently and in a team setting
  • Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing
