Project Manager, Business Process

Location: San Bruno, CA

Summary

Looking for an experienced designer with a strong trend-driven aesthetic and a keen eye for design.  This position works closely with the team to create new designs for the Photo platform’s photo greeting cards and photo gifts.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in designing and bringing to life new products
  • Prepare final design files based upon vendor specific set-up requirements, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the files
  • Ability to present designs to the Business and Trend manager
  • Manage deadline-driven production schedules with team members and vendors, while upholding quality, detail and accuracy
  • Create designs that are seasonally relevant and on-trend
  • Knowledge of the company’s customer and their expectations

Requirements

  • BA degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts or related field
  • 1 or more years’ experience working with Adobe CS (Illustrator and Photoshop proficiency – a must), Adobe InDesign, MS Office, data file transfer programs
  • Knowledge of graphic design, typography rules and trends and typographical fonts in graphic design layouts
  • Print production experience (prepping files for print, production requirements etc.)
  • Strong ability for branding and identity creation
  • Extremely detailed-oriented and superior communication skills
  • Must be able to thrive working independently as well as part of a team
  • Eager to learn and open to constructive critique
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving and project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Illustration skills and hand-lettering ability a plus
  • Prior experience working in the Social Stationery or Design/Communications is preferred
  • Prior experience designing greeting cards, personalized gifts and seasonal/holiday products is preferred
