Sr. Human Resources Business Partner

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Job Description:

  • A key member of the Manufacturing Operations and Clinical Training Leadership teams
  • Internal consultant and advisor to executives, managers and leads
  • Proactively addresses complex as well as routine organizational issues and responds to requests for HR expertise and information
  • Analyzes and recommends solutions to complex employee relations issues
  • Conduct exit interviews and makes recommendations to management based on data, trends and observations
  • Responds to employee issues including complaints and harassment allegations
  • Conducts investigations, facilitates with the resolution of grievances between employee(s), supervisor and management team
  • Creates and/or delivers employee programs and processes
  • Educates client groups on performance reviews and other employee lifecycle processes
  • Compiles and analyzes data for reports and special projects
  • Prepares ad hoc reports and maintains special internal and external reports, including headcount and attrition, as requested by client groups
  • Participates in clients’ Staff Meetings and other group meetings
  • Provides organizational input and feedback to HR Centers of Excellence (Compensation, benefits, talent development, staffing, etc.) and onsite temporary staffing to ensure programs and policies are aligned
  • Refers employees to the appropriate HR representative for unemployment, disability, leave of absence and worker’s compensation claims
  • Support and assistance with a facilities move, ½ mile away, for part of the manufacturing organization
  • Performs additional duties as needed and assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, HR certification (PHR/SPHR) desired
  • Minimum of 10+ years of related HR experience, education, training and/or industry knowledge, including 7+ years of HR Management experience required
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in application of employment law and other government compliance regulations
  • Able to quickly build trust, credibility and influence effectively across organizations
  • Proven track record of building credible relationships with client groups
  • Seeks to understand the needs of client groups and uncover root causes to address
  • Ability to research and analyze various types of information
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, using judgment consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures and legal requirements
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) within a culturally diverse environment
  • Demonstrates personal leadership, pro-actively achieves goals of both HR and client groups
