Hotel Front Desk Clerk

Responsibilities

 

We are looking for a professional Front Desk Clerk to provide high quality service to our client’s guests and residents. The Front Desk Clerk must be able to assist various clientele, residents and guests from all backgrounds. In addition, the right candidate must be able to multitask and handle financial duties.

  • Provide full “hotel” style service to executives and conference guests.
  • Prepare and research concierge material.
  • Place guest belongs in the safe.
  • Check guests in/out.  Calculate bills, charge guests for accommodations, audit transactions and resolve billing issues.
  • Respond to residents and guests questions and needs.  Resolve issues in a diplomatic manner; research and recommend solutions.
  • Answer phones; check voice mail; transfer calls; take/leave messages; reset guestroom phones.
  • Accurately sort and deliver mail and faxes to guests and residents.  Collect appropriate fees.
  • Process U.S. Mail, UPS, Fed Ex, and DHL deliveries and shipments.  Review shipping documents and international invoices for all outgoing packages to ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed thoroughly.  Contact and advise guests if additional paperwork is needed.
  • Ensure security and safety of residents, conference and program guests.  Implement emergency response procedures if needed.
  • Inform residents and guests of residential policies and procedures.  Enforce when issues of non-compliance arise.
  • Communicate and work cooperatively with residents to ensure events run smoothly and clean up is completed.
  • Accurately prepare invoices, contracts and other word and excel reports and documents.
  • Prepare a daily report that clearly communicates important issues so that all staff is aware and informed. Accurately record important information.  Read all reports thoroughly.
  • Complete various administrative assignments including but not limited to- filing, data entry, collating, and preparing reservation material, etc.
  • Maintain and balance cash box, collect charges and give change as needed.  Settle and balance credit card machine.
