Phone Bank Operator

Location: Monterey, CA

Associates will answer phones, assist callers and voters at the front counter with basic election questions and triage as appropriate. Transfer calls, take messages and have the ability to conduct research using multiple databases. The associate must be eligible to issue and handle ballots (registered voter or lawful permanent resident). The associate must be English/Spanish bilingual.

Schedule:

Office hours (M-F, 8-5) plus overtime as necessary. On Election Day (June 5th), extended hours are required (6:30 in the morning until 9:30 pm minimum, possibly until midnight). The Saturday before the Election (June 2nd), the required schedule is 9-5pm.

Requirements:

Must follow directions. Must be detail-oriented individuals with accurate counting skills and computer data entry. They must be comfortable with being observed, especially by the media or outside observers. Tasks are repetitive in nature and require long periods standing or sitting at a computer terminal. Must be able to lift 25lbs and read small font text on envelopes.
